First Camping Trip 2019
I had a bit of drama this morning because my Campervan wouldn’t start. I already called the breakdown service out on Monday and he told me my battery was fine, even though flat. So today I called them out again. Then I spent a couple of hours trying to get a new battery without any success. My van was imported as a used vehicle from Japan - not impossible to get a battery, but maybe not the same day.
The purpose for this trip - to Birmingham - was actually to get a service and MOT done by a mechanic who specialises in these vehicles. And he has the batteries in stock. Since my old but newly charged battery seemed to be holding its charge today, I decided to risk it and drive up to Birmingham anyway, hoping that the van will start again in the morning.
So off I went - much later than I’d hoped. The weather is warm and sunny so it’s a perfect time to spend a couple of days away. I hope the nights aren’t too cold still! I have my new trusted heater with me. I camped (in my sister’s driveway!) at Christmas so hopefully this will not be much colder.
I arrived in time for a late afternoon cup of tea sitting in the sunshine, which turned into this beautiful sunset. I’m happy to be taking Alfie out for our first outing this year! May there be many more!
