Hoghton Bottoms

Parish walk today and another one with no rain! We started at Pleasington and walked down to Hoghton Bottoms and along the river Derwent. The terrain and scenery was variable and it was really enjoyable. As usual we finished with a pub lunch. The staff were brilliant and the manager told us of two other pubs they own and they have produced routes for walks around them. We will certainly be investigating those.  

This is the second time we've done this walk. We remember it well as last time we were drenched. We were surprised to find it was three years ago, May 2016. Doesn't time fly!
