Birthday Bonus

Another awesome day on the Hurtigruten made even more lovely with all the birthday greetings and love I felt from everyone! A stunning couple of hours of sailing, then we docked in Honningsvåg. I set foot on the North Cape at the most northerly point of continental Europe. It had such a frontier town feel about it, a very interesting museum and a beautiful church with the mountains as backdrops. I got to meet a local artist and buy some of her work, and made friends in the knitting shop as well. Reindeer steak for dinner, a really interesting lecture on Life in Svalbard and frankly, who can ask for more of a Birthday?
