Easter Road Station

Well it was a day off and some Christmas shopping had to be done then off to pick up my mother from her bingo and give her a lift home so on my way to pick her up at meadowbank I stopped on Easter Road and blipped this shot of the old platform that was known as Easter Road Station with the sign still showing Eastet Road Junction the line that you see takes you down to the Powderhall refuse depot where the train picks up the containers and transfers the wsste to the landfill site just south of Dunbar in the days when I drove my train down there when returning with the empty containers we would stop here for an hour or so having popped up onto Easter Road for sausage and bacon rolls for breakfast as the branch line was one train working we could sit there as long as we had time before our scheduled departure at the top of the branch so many good memories of my time scoffing breakfast before heading back to Millerhill depot and still have an early finish
