Revolutionary History
I was back in the air early this morning and landed this afternoon at Newark. Early enough to do some exploring after arriving at the hotel. We stay in suburban New Jersey in an area with a lot of history from the Revolutionary war. This hill above the town is called Fort Nonsense, and it may have been used to light beacons to warn the militia of enemy (British!) advancement.
In all the times I’ve stayed here I never knew this was here! It was a sunny but windy day and up at the top of the hill it was bitterly cold. In warmer weather I must go back and take a picnic with me.
