The Romanov Trilogy

Dear Diary,

I've just finished a wonderful series of books by Robert Alexander about the end of the Romanov dynasty in Russia.  They are wonderfully researched and beautifully written, each a window into a different facet of that time in history.  I highly recommend them.  I've added a picture insert of the two Russian icons and Orthodox cross I bought in St. Petersburg when I was there 15 years ago.
