Spring planting.

Today is an exciting day for the farm! First transplants are in the ground. The first round of kale, kohlrabi, collards, and cabbages. It has been wonderful looking after these plants from early February and I hope they enjoy life outside if the greenhouse.

It's always a bit nerve racking to put the baby plants out in the field. Now the battle against weeds, deer, insects, groundhogs, and weather will be upon them.

If all goes well in less than two months time this field will start to produce some lovely dinners for our fantastic community.
