The Pleasure of Sunshine

I'm tending to run away from home whenever I can these days. It's not that there's nothing to do at home - on the contrary, there's far too much and it's overwhelming and daunting. My answer is to go out and ignore it - especially when the sun's shining.

So Maisie and I went for a walk along the flood embankment and lazed around on the grass - she made herself a bed in a pile of mown grass at one point and I lay on the ground and enjoyed the birdsong.

As you can see from the cooling tower in the photo, it's alongside a chemical works which is strangely magical - especially at night when it's lit up like fairyland!
