Peace......

......it was breakfast in the home when R sadly slipped away peacefully. Morning sun was touching the trees with golden light as it had not long been up, blackbirds were pecking under large hydrangea flowers in autumn shades and I could hear the soft calls of a young blackbird waiting to be fed.

It was a long tiring journey for R as he battled with alzheimer's, a disease which robs us of our sound mind and zest of life, although sad we're thankful he's now at peace.

I'm behind with blip but will catch up in time, right now I need to be by mum's side who looks a little weary at times but coping so well.
