True Grit
This afternoon, Mr PB and I were at Longshaw to reccy some woodlands with nest boxes that we will be monitoring - mainly for Pied Flycatchers. He went to his woodland with another volunteer who knows the woodlands, I went with the ranger who supervises the project to check out my patch of woodland. He then took me down to meet up with Mr PB and as he hadn't finished, I had half an out to kill, sitting in this lovely spot in the warm afternoon sunshine. There were plenty of butterflies around (see extras). The gritstone edge in the background is Millstone Edge and there are a couple of the areas's many abandoned millstones near the centre of the image.
