Fearn Abbey

There has been a monastery on this sight since the tenth century. The present buildings were erected following a disaster in the 18th century, when the roof fell in killing 36 worshippers.
A lovely day, warm and sunny.
Later, walked up the Cats Back then visited Neil Gunn’s memorial, after walying to the stepping stones. First thing this morning walked along the cliffs and later this evening will walk along the beach.
