The sun was shining again today..
My favourite pool in the park has to be Blackroot.

The orginal Black Root has long since gone.. It was good to see the pool looking so peaceful again.

When I was a lad we came here as a family and it was safe to paddle in a protected area whilst a small steam boat carried passengers around the extremities of the pool. A guy would rent out rowing boats for very limited periods of time and you often hear him calling those back that had outstayed their time !
All paddling and swimming is now banned in the park because of the increased algae in the water.
