Sunday Sunday

So finally went to the genocide memorial today. It was not a very pleasant experience, but one that I'm glad to have had. The museum itself is very informative and beautifully laid out, but understandably difficult and harrowing. Outside there are rose gardens and trees, but the peaceful nature of the place is offset by the knowledge that in the graves directly below the building are the bodies of 250,000 people.

This photo is of a row of roses that lie on one of those graves.
