For my thousandth

We were traveling today and stopped, like we always do, for lunch in Evansville, Indiana which is located at the Ohio river. The other side of the river is Kentucky so once through that state it's time for lunch. Our favorite German restaurant is located in the older section of town which must have been a Deutsche enclave early in it's development. Beautiful architecture all around and this building is no exception. It houses a gorgeous mahogany bar and serves delicious spaetzle. I am especially fond of the old Schlitz sign near the back door. There's a huge wooden carving of a squirrel at the front entrance. The best.
Thank you, Blipfoto friends, for all your indulgences. While my posts are far more random than they once were, I still browse your entries often, looking forward to catching up on your lives.
