unforeseen hitch involving lid of brown sauce (4)*

Sarah and I are teaching ourselves to solve cryptic crosswords. It's like code-breaking. D  jump-started Carol the camper van who has a dead battery and Sarah and I drove her to the garage in Moniaive, all the way trying to figure out anagrams. 

While I cooked the dinner, D and S delivered some Community Council newsletters and along the way they did a litter pick (D's contri=bution to the Irongray CC one which is officially happening at the beginning of April. Timely because tonight I'm going to a talk about rubbish (waste, litter, recycling etc) in Dunscore.
