toads

Finally, I spotted some amphibians at Blackford Pond. I've been checking for the last few weeks. Since last Tuesday the frogs have spawned as well. I nearly gave up on looking for them, although I could hear some croaking. Anyway, spotted this couple. Stupidly, I left my polarisation filter at home. I didn't occur to me that it might be useful today. Somehow, I had imagined another shot of the toads/frogs on their way to the pond, rather than in it. Ah well. I might have another look on the weekend. Curiously, there was no herons hanging out.
