Breakfast
A farewell breakfast at Dean and Deluca at Al Morouj for one of the BLS' much loved members. She's very sociable and very welcoming and helpful and will be missed by many.
There were about 20 of us waiting to surprise our guest of honour, much to amusement of the Kuwaiti women breakfasting there also. We were a tad loud when she arrived. It was a lovely morning with plenty of good chats to be had. I sat next to an Aussie woman I've met a few times and we decided this croissant type treat was ours for the sharing - so worth it. Our guest was given a cake that was a mix of British and American in design for she's an American married to a Brit. Sad farewells, but happy to be part of such a good group of women here.
The rest of the day was spent with Isl who had a rare day off, and even rarer because it was Sunday. Dust storms kept us inside but relaxing nevertheless. And another dinner at Freej - think chicken and rice you've seen before.. not good for the diet..
Mum turned 76 today and she's sounding much recovered post surgery - thankfully.
