On Thursday evening I went to the NSEA (Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association) holiday party for staff and board members. One of the gifts that board members received was this beautiful metal salmon ornament, crafted by Ferndale High School students to show their appreciation of NSEA's educational program, Students for Salmon.

Just in case the link doesn't work, I'll summarize for you: After working in partnership with other groups for several years, we recently removed the last barrier that had been blocking access to Terrell Creek salmon spawning areas since 1950. The salmon have already taken advantage of this opportunity!
