Views of my world

Overwhelmed

I've got the Sunday night blues tonight, my anxiety levels over the week ahead and all that needs to be achieved are quite high.

Today was lovely and peaceful though, another day of pottering about; Noah dedicated his time to cleaning his room Santa style (you know when Santa won't come if your room's not tidy), Freya cleared out her wardrobe (I sneakily use the new cash for clothes shop in Barrhead as an incentive for her to be ruthless and clear some space in the hope that it will no longer take her a week to figure out where to put her laundry), Carlos busied himself with x-box and cooking (steak pie - delicious!) and I made one last Christmas stocking (a reindeer this time, Rudolf, to be precise).

I also (finally) cast on for my second attempt at secret Santa, the knitting night out is on Thursday so I'm gonna have to go some to make it on time! Have cut myself some slack and decided that where it might not be possible to finish (or even start) all the projects I had planned for Christmas some luxury yarn or hand crafted local goods might be the way to go instead.

It's a busy week ahead but I know it will all be fine.

I couldn't decide what to blip today, Freya and I found ourselves down the front for a short time this afternoon and I was overwhelmed by all the choices which were : Freya, the dead seed heads on the plants, the oyster catchers and red shanks on the rocks or the boat and sliver of rainbow on the river. In the end I settled on this shot as it gives you them all. I'm so glad that Friday is the shortest day, I'm looking forward to the nights drawing out again and the increased blip opportunities the extra light brings.
