Dolly's swan rescue

Swan rescue today. I got a call from Hessilhead asking if I could help, a swan is a bit bigger than the usual animals they ask me to help with. I was happy to go and see what I could do, I grabbed a couple of towels (next time I'll take an ikea bag) and headed out. He was stuck in some brambles at the reservoir, he had been chased off by the resident breeding swans. I managed to get him covered with a towel and lifted out the bushes, then I carried him to my car. I tried a few places before I eventually took him to Parklea and released him there. I had been looking for the large group of non-breeding swans that are usually around but I couldn't find them. He sat for a while before flying off down the river a little way, I was so delighted he flew off safe. I've added a few extras, he was so lovely but very heavy.
