Swamp Monster

Daughter Number 1 asked to join us on our walk today. I took her to my favourite place in Ashdown Forest. We explored a little further and found a lovely woodland park with streams and bridges.

Bella took to the water like a duck.... except the first part she found was full of frog spawn and I read recently it was toxic to dogs. She also stunk of stagnant swamp so we found a cleaner stream and made her play in it to get clean.

We had a great time and both DN1 and I were remembering the good times with Hollydog.

I was then cancelled for the afternoon but made full use of DN1 puppy sitting while cleaning my house so went to the supermarket all by myself. It was actually really nice not having my husband telling me off for buying a dozen cream eggs, bags of crisps or expensive toiletries!!!

I also bought some pigs ears for Bella and introduced her to them for the first time. She seemed to approve. Well she might as well eat one while she smells like one!!!

My shoulder is killing me today. It's certainly in the mid freeze phase. I remember it well with the other one last year. Roll on the GP referral for another injection. It's starting to make me very grumpy.
