Spring Garden

Hurrah - TJ has built the garden bench and we both heaved it into place up the steep hill and I took some pictures of it and the rest of the colour in the garden just now.  

It was just as well I took the shots when I did, as 10 minutes later there was an almighty crash and the bench had been blown over by the howling gale:-)  It took two of us to carry it and yet a gust of wind managed to knock it over - just shows how strong the wind was!  Fortunately, it was not damaged and it has now been moved to the safety of the sheltered part of the decking to wait until the winds abate.

We enjoyed the film last night at the village hall, in spite of a technical hitch ten minutes in which meant it had to be started from the beginning again!  A lovely evening, with good company and food provided by the film club members, which was a lovely surprise.  We'll definitely go again.

Bad news re MiL, who has been taken back into hospital and is not at all well.  Difficult decisions for the family too, but hoping all will be well.
