A simple tulip in the sun....

A very busy weekend clearing our bedroom and ensuite ready for tomorrow's demolishing and rebuilding. We call the ensuite "The Tardis" as it is built over the chimney breast in the middle of the room (the sink is outside the ensuite) with a cupboard door and very thin plasterboard walls. Most people think it is cupboard and would never think to look inside. When you do venture through the cupboard door it has a bath, loo and chest of drawers in there.
The building work will knock down the walls and will rebuild it at the end of the room where we have access to the drains (the current bath goes into a soak away) and it will have the loo, bath and shower and sink as well as three windows. Our bedroom will then have a built in wardrobe removed and will  be replastered and will have a central light added.  At the same time the utility room is being remodelled and this should mean the plasterer, carpenter and tiler can move between the two spaces making best use of their time. ie. while grout is drying in one room the tiler can tile the other room etc

Because we did the spare room and ensuite in October we are at least comfortable in there and I have 3  chests of drawers in my office now as well as all my clothes on a rail. This means from the comfort of my desk chair I can do my make-up, straighten my hair and get dressed without moving more than 2 feet in any direction!
