The Rising Sun

This morning was bright (though chilly with a cold wind) so my Editor and I had a walk to the Rising Sun Country Park here in North Tyneside - we're lucky to live within easy walking distance of this lovely park and nature reserve. Having mentioned the Park on several previous blips I thought it was about time actually to show the "Rising Sun": this sculpture is at the visitor centre (my Editor says it's been there for ages so I must have been very unobservant as I've never noticed it before).

We spotted a sparrowhawk on the way home, but ("as usual", my Editor says) I had the wrong lens on to get a good shot of it - it didn't stay around long enough for me to change lenses. Such is the life of a photographer...
