Election Day
There was a time when polling booths were the preserve of adults over eighteen, but those days are well and truly over.
Voters now come with their children and dogs and there's a sense of general mayhem.
It's not easy to deal with a difficult voter who can't remember the details necessary to allow them to vote and is becoming increasingly frustrated and cross with the inquisitor.
It's even more difficult when there are crying children and fighting dogs in the background.
There were two big weddings in town today, and many of the guests came to vote, which meant a lot of work for the declaration polling officials, of which I was one.
We didn't pause for breath.
Anyhoo, after nearly sixteen hours of hard work I was set free.
Needless to say, I had a good lie in today. (This is a back blip.)
