Odd Duck

Leaving the pond, I saw this female Mallard and quickly took a photo of her because she simply looked different.  When I got home and saw her again, I realized how oily she looks?  I imagine she was just super wet but she still looks rather odd.  Even her eye looks different. Now I wish I would have studied her closer. 

Beautiful sunshine... - 18 C this morning (with the wind chill) when I first got up.  Seeing two robins and a handful of starlings on my front lawn this evening made the chill of the day fade away.

I think I may go owl hunting tomorrow.  Crossing fingers....
