Highgate Cemetary
A horrible Sat Nav led drive across London yesterday to reach Finsbury. It took 4 and half hours from home!
We spent what was left of the afternoon loading the car of F's clobber and delivered it to my niece's home in Harringay. F's temporary residence until she moves to south of the river with friends.
Friday evening and we had a couple of drinks and then a thoroughly enjoyable dinner in a proper Turkish Restaurant.
This morning we went out for breakfast and then cleaned and cleared the Finsbury house before a second car load to Harringay.
The journey home was far easier. We stopped at Highgate cemetary on the way to the north circular and the drive from there was 2 hours shorter.
Highgate was interesting. We didn't pick up the map but happened across many famous dead; Paul Foot, Elgar, Jeremy Beadle, Karl Marx (couldn't miss his), Malcolm McClaren (bit creepy with what looked like his death mask on the gravestone) and Douglas Adams amongst others. One tomb stone had the word DEAD cut into it. Brutally honest over many which state "fell asleep".
We arrived home to find cows on our side of the fence at the bottom of the garden. All but one seems to have found its way back into the fields!
Lots of extras...
