Glencoyne

The weather warning for today was no exaggeration! Howling winds and torrential rain. We ventured over to Ullswater for a (very) short walk just to feel like we'd made an effort to go out, but then retreated back to the guesthouse to dry off before heading into Keswick. We had lunch and then settled ourselves in a pub to watch the Wales v Ireland rugby match. My Welsh boyfriend was very happy with the result! We then returned to the guesthouse to watch the Scotland v England game away from all the England supporters...what a game! Finished the day with another lovely pub dinner. The horrible weather really didn't ruin our enjoyment of the day – it was just wonderful to be able to enjoy relaxing without feeling guilty. That's what holidays are for after all!
