Custard!
Okay, so we may be considering replacing our 'One' with an 'S', but it 'aint gonna be this colour. Actually, I quite like it, but I couldn't live with it every day (some cars suit it - Lotus Elan, Triumph Stag...). The test drive was great - an hour with the car to ourselves, and by god it can shift.
At the other end of the spectrum I spent the afternoon finally almost completely stripping the 1930s Sunbeam bike I've had sitting in the garage waiting for this for a while. Time to contact Mercian about respray costs, now it's just a frame, after I finally worked out how to remove the chainbath. It's all very very clever and well put together, with the rear stays being detachable, and one of the chainstays actually remaining within the chainbath. The little odometer is brilliant as well!
And this after finishing the restoration (and modification) of another bike the other day - all worth it when you get this type of smile.
So a good day in all, as part of a good weekend (yesterday we did a power of work in the garden). Pity the boss is back in the office tomorrow.
p.s. I DO have plans for some more light painting this week...
