Doors on doors

The wholesale fish market closed its doors years ago, but when redeveloping it as a residential complex, the architects saved the outer walls and some of the wrought iron. It looked like a mirage as I walked back from a lovely evening with my book club. I'd not read all of the book, but had guessed one of the big plot twists. It was fascinating to see a book through someone else's eyes when they have hindsight that you don't. Learning from someone else's experience might not be quite the same, but does open some doors.
