The Mairie

Wasn't I the lucky one! The Mairie (Town Hall) was showing for free Le chat Potte to all primary children and I was the lucky one who went to sit through the cartoon -Puss in Boots! We had to take some cakes and then guess what had to buy our cakes back. Presumably some fund raising but for what I haven't a clue! Anyway a good time was had by all and then early bed all round!
This is a photo of the Town Hall used regularly for events and you get a real feeling that the residents own it. Music and dance lessons are held there and the mairie organise lots of community events. In the summer there is an event organised every weekend by the Mayor - maybe we should copy the idea -plus the sign Liberte Egalite Fraternite.
You can just see three of my granchildren running up the steps. They refused to pose! Fair enough!
