Evensong

Before we went out to meet some old friends for lunch today I went for a walk and hand delivered some of our local Christmas cards. I passed by several dogs being walked, one of which was Betsy the beautiful Newfoundland and her owners. I have tried to take photos of Betsy before but without much success; she is so black and most uncooperative with me and the camera. Most of my shots are either way out of focus or I only get a bit of her in the shot. Today was no different so I was glad I saw these nice reflections in our local church windows and loved the colours of the mellow brickwork so decided to post this instead of the only passable shot I got of the black beauty.

Too much blipping and chatting by me made us late to meet our friends in the pub, but we only missed out on one drink!! We've had a great lunch, lots of good food, wine etc. and much laughter and talk of all the good times we have had - just feel like hibernating for the rest of the evening now.
