Gracious

We had an Association AGM tonight in a room where all the walls were covered in pictures of the Queen and various MPs.

It would be easy to be totally distracted by the decor if it weren’t for the importance of the meeting itself.

The election of the association officers went brilliantly. There’s now a really strong, united and very able team. And then there was a debate in which everyone could give their answer to ‘What do you want to say to the Cabinet about Brexit?’.

I was stunned by the relative unity in the room, despite there being 100 people who were a mix of ‘remainers’ and ‘leavers’.
