Sternbergia lutea? The brightest yellow of all the yellow flowers in the garden.

Bella had three broken teeth removed this morning and is recovering at home. The extractions took two hours and she will have a sore mouth for several days. The discovery of a hitherto undetected heart murmur made the surgery somewhat risky but the vet assured me that she came through it well.  I'm relieved - to put it mildly.
A two minute silence was observed here in memory of those who died in last Friday's terrorist attack. We listened to The Call To Prayer and a moving address afterwards.  It has been an emotional day for New Zealanders.
