It was nice to get out in the daylight after a stretch of working in the dark and sleeping in the day. The beach was almost deserted - only a few hardy dogwalkers and birdwatchers, and me. At times like these it would be nice to have an assistant; as I was standing counting one kodak, two kodak, the tide was racing in and threatening my bag.

I rather supsect that the remainder of the day will involve my arse being wedged in the chair by the fire...
