Mallard Drake.
Before setting off back north we treated ourselves to a morning at Staffordshire Wildlife Trust Wolseley Centre reserve. We had some interesting encounters with wildlife. Ranging from the pair of Robins lurking at the entrance hoping to be fed through the pair of Tree creepers on the tree a couple of yards away to the Long Tailed Tit collecting a feather for nest building.
The waterfowl like much of the other wildlife was very tolerant of human intrusion. This enabled me to be close enough to see the water drops on their heads when feeding.
The day was nicely rounded off by a trouble free, if a little slow in places, drive home.
