Layers of changing fortunes

I love watching London's constant state of flux, however what I saw on Upper Street today was a bit of a shock.

So many of the charming little shops and cafes that line this Islington highway have been boarded up. The same story proved true over on the Kingsland High Road where trendy new restaurants were disappearing before my eyes.

Wether this is due to rate rises or Brexit jitters I am not sure. I heard a rumour that businesses were over borrowing, fear of bankruptcy not being the scary thing it used to be.

What ever the reason I will be interested to see what happens next.
