Aliens

I had a nice brunch with a friend today. Strenuous circumstances necessitated the meetup, but hopefully things will work out for her.

It's a brilliant little cafe and I always feel welcomed there.

On another note I've been hearing strange noises at night. I have no idea where they come from but I'm poised to call environmental health if I hear them again.

A kind of mechanical whirring. A bit alien, but like a loud generator.

I googled to see if there were any likely causes and was concerned to read that it might be "The Hum" which apparently is a thing.
