Daffodils and wood

These are the daffodils on Middle Meadow Walk, blipped on my way to work.

Frances and I have worked frantically today - both together and apart - in a race to meet an important grant deadline at the end of the week.

After my four afternoon meetings (by which time most of our colleagues had already left for the night) we hunkered down in my office to review the latest versions of the application documentation produced so far. I must say that it's all looking a lot better than the earlier drafts :-)

By the time I finally headed home I was confident that Frances will finish her application on time to a high standard, and will be in the running for a grant. Fingers crossed...
