Mont Collon in the Dark

Backblipped.

St. Joseph's day in Arolla, where I am staying with Joan, now 84 and almost blind, the first English person I met in Switzerland when I was 19 and she was 35. After coffee I skinned up to a Col that I first climbed 48 years ago. The pistes were empty on the descent, with stunning views beyond. I had dinner with Joan and another 2 friends, one of whom I have known for 40 years. It has been a day of easy company, laughter, and kind, reflective, hours alone in the mountains too. The day's end brought a full moon and sparkles in the snow as I struggled at -10*C to take a photo of Mont Collon, ghostly hovering at the end of the valley.

Extras to show you the area. Who wants a blipmeet there?
