Spring walk

We drove to Vernonia, an old logging town about 30 miles away. There is a small lake there, Mill Pond, with a walking path all around it. The shoreline is covered in Cattails - favorite habitat for Red-wing Blackbirds. What a concert it was, the males trying to outdo each other!
We finished the night off with hamburgers at the Black Iron Grill, delicious hamburgers I might add. Sunset in the main blip, blackbird and other spring signs in the extras.
