Sally Mair - Loving life

Our large Camelia has been in the garden for longer than we have lived here which is almost 25 years. I love its delicate pink colour contrasted with the beautifully waxy leaves. Sadly it doesn't do well if the flowers are frosted or rained on although it seems to have survived the weather of the last couple of weeks thank goodness.
Today has been productive, I house sat for a couple of tradesmen's visits for A, and got several other things arranged by phone .
This afternoon I attended a defribrillator course which was useful and interesting. Now there are so many machines around, I though it would be useful so I've wanted to do one for ages. All the ones I could find were really expensive though, then I discovered the church across the road was offering two hour courses for the community, as they now have a machine based there. It was well delivered and really common sense, a refresher on CPR was included too. If you do ever need to use one, the machine talks you through the whole process. All you have to do off your own bat is press the on button!!! It will even check that the patient is not breathing and if they are it won't deliver a shock, so that's good to know too!
A busy day but I didn't get enough steps done so for the first week in almost a year I haven't met my steps target. 6627 steps today
