High Marks

The Sixth Form dinner was a great success last night.

The Marbella Golf Club is a very smart venue and they did us proud. The food was excellent, although it did take a while to get round us all. Not surprising really, but we were still finishing off the pud at 11 p.m.

The students were impeccably behaved and very good company. None of the laddish, alcohol induced silliness one often experienced back in the UK.

The staff were able to let their hair down after midnight, when the pupils had all been collected by a coach, laid on at the Director's expense.

And after a shared taxi back to La Cala, I got home about 1:30.

Now it's exam marking time. But when you can sit on the terrace in shorts to do it, it doesn't seem so bad.
