Tramworks

It's funny that given how long Edinburgh has been dominated by tramworks (and given that they are likely be the haring down Leith Walk some time soon) that Tampere has tramworks too, and has had for a while and will have until 2021. The city is constructing a 23 km tramway that will form a spine across the city and into the suburbs, coincidentally nicely connecting various bits of the University.

It runs through the area where we've stayed the last couple of times.

A good day working on stuff, and then to a lecture and the drinks thereafter. At that, we met some interesting people, and had a good chat about - inter alia - saunas.
