Out shopping

I headed into Leeds to meet my old trade union buddies Chris and Vicky for tea. We were celebrating Vicky's election success. It's a bit over a week since she was elected vice president of UCU the academic trade union. Under the rather peculiar rules this means she is VP for 2 years and then president. A significant achievement and one achieved without being aligned to either of the political factions that dominate the union at that level. Very pleased and I think she will be a breath of fresh air.
After that I went and bought a replacement compact camera. I used to have a TZ70 but this is a TZ80. I'm expecting great things!
