A Practice run
OK, I'm going to fess-up straight away and say I didn't make my own pastry (I'm sure the eagle-eyed cakescakescakes will spot the discarded wrapper!). This is a practice run of a new mince pie recipe before the official christmas batch. They are stollen mince pies and, having just tested one - just to make sure they'rs safe for family consumption of course, no self interest involved at all - can confirm that they are rather tasty if you have a sweet tooth. Used the left over pastry to make tarts ( with my mum's homemade lemon curd) The official pastry roller and cutter for the day is Callum.
