So many nevers

I'm heartbroken that you were terrified, that you were in pain, that you died for no reason, that no one knew the mind of your killer well enough to help him or prevent your death, that it's so easy to get a gun in this country, that so many people even want guns, that no matter how much they talk and report over and over and over and over and over, nothing will happen to prevent it from happening again, that you will never see a new day, that all you would ever have seen have been taken away.
