on frozen pond

Today was busy day with Christmas shopping and finding a turkey for Christmas dinner. I took a bit of time to walk down to the lake. I saw many of these birds kinda confused with the fresh ice. The lake had just frozen overnight and the brid looked like they were waiting for it to melt. Some of he ducks trying to land would hit the ice and go slide several feet, it was quite funny to watch. I was not down for too long however as there was a bitter east wind the made things feel much colder.
