York Minster

Not a normal Thursday Blip! Today I travelled up to York to visit Alix for a couple of days and then both of us could come home together for Christmas.

The train journey up was uneventful and the scenery was glorious; beautiful frosty scenery flashing past but the train windows were none too clean so the pictures were somewhat smeary and didn't really do justice.

When we got to Doncaster the fog descended, as if someone had switched the sun off, and it all got a bit gloomy.

Once I arrived in York the fog started to lift and the Minster was stunning.
