Our Company
Had to show our traveling companions, even though not the best photo, taken by a sister who lives in Porto and joined us there for lunch. They were all unfailingly cheerful and considerate, and so impressed with the way they were up for anything, even though for some of them, quite an ordeal to walk a lot, for instance.
Another coach day to get home, but still walked way over 11,000 steps, beginning by walking to early Eucharist in a delightful little church dedicated to Salome, mother of James (i.e. Santiago) and John. So not my church culture, but endlessly fascinating.
Gratefuls:
- the coach driver, who also was uncomplaining and flexible, and got us there and back so comfortably and safely
- the chance to get to know these folk better, there are some heroes amongst them
- a complete rainbow, ending, sparkling, in a field right next to the road
